Education is like people eating and
drinking water. It is a vital need. There are many education methods in the
21st century. Recently, the most popular of these are home-schooling and formal
education. To students, teachers and parents, Covid-19 brought home-schooling
or schoolless education options to mind. Home-schooling, in short, Is the
implementation of the official state curriculum at home. Schoolless education,
on the other hand, is completely independent of the curriculum, education as
children want. There are two different points between these two options in
terms of sociability and financially.
First
of all, where you study, your social life also affects your future and yourself
significantly. In other words, just a school choice is a factor that determines
your quality of life. Since the number of people, a student studying at home
talks to and meets is limited, this is lower compared to a student studying at
school in terms of communication between people. A student who is educated at
school creates a very crowded social environment with his teachers, classmates,
friends in the course at school, and friends he met while doing sports. Since a
home-schooled student meets more often with his family and teachers, his
friends are at school during the meeting hours, the time he will spend with
them is also reduced.
Secondly,
for home-schooling, you need to get support from a teacher from each lesson and
get a lot of paid material, which is a high financial price. For the students
who are taught at the school, there is no such problem. The school meets the
need for other materials and offers privileges such as laboratories, computer
rooms, conference rooms, etc. All these opportunities are very valuable for a
student because they ensure that everyone is equally educated and has
opportunities, so that no student is superior to another. On the contrary,
home-schooled students are deprived of these facilities and might fall behind.
In
summary, there are good and bad aspects of two different education options, but
if we compare and have to choose one of the two, studying at school offers
wider opportunities than home education. Of course, these are a matter of
preference, each child has a different personality. So, when deciding where
your child will study, you should first get to know your child and then decide
on their education.
