The Godfather (1972)

The Godfather was directed by Francis Ford Coppola, based on the novel of the same name written by Mario Puzo. Starring Marlon Brando and Al Pacino, the film also stars James Cain, Robert Duvall, Diane Keaton, John Cazale in supporting roles. The Godfather movie won three Oscars: 1. Best Movie 2. Best Actor (Marlon Brando) 3. Best Adapted Screenplay. It was filmed in Sicily, Italy.

The film tells the story of a powerful Italian mafia family living in New York. The Corleone family is a famous family of Italian origin that has established a crime-based organization led by Don Vito Corleone. The family, along with four other families in New York, run New York’s underworld. However, what distinguishes the Corleone family from others is the politicians and judges that Don Corleone carries like coins in his pocket. These close relationships with politicians and judges enable them to open doors that other families cannot.

I strongly recommend because it is an excellent movie in every aspect.
