Effects of Peer Pressure

 




  As it is known, peer pressure is increasing all over the world. Peer pressure is more common, especially amoung young people. Peer pressure has taken over the lives of young people. Peer pressure has had negative effects on young people’s social life and psychology.

   Firstly, one effect of peer pressure is social life. Peer pressure makes people isolated. As people become lonely, they retreat into their own corners. They can not enjoy life. They do not want to leave their homes or even their rooms. So, the move away from social life. As time goes by, living becomes meaningless for them.

    Secondly, apart from the social life effects, peer pressure also causes psychological effects. Peer pressure makes a person feel worthless and damages a person’s self-confidence. Thus, they are isolated from the real world and live in the world they created. Individuals have more psychological problems day by day.

     In conclusion, peer pressure has had profound effects on our lives in many ways, and it is in social life and psychology that they have had the greatest influence. If peer pressure is not prevented, we can not have healthy individuals in the future.
